Sheraton Salobre celebrates the I Charity Mountain Bike Race On Sunday 16th, October 2011 the hotel organized its first Road to Awareness event, a 11 km mountain bike race in the surroundings of the hotel. More than 1,000 € were raised for UNICEF in a beautiful morning, with a high level of participation and volunteering. |

The Earth Hour On Saturday 27th March 2010 at 8:30pm, towns and cities around the world will turn off their lights for one hour sending a powerful message on environmental consciousness and caring for the planet. The Sheraton Salobre Golf Resort & Spa will give its vote and support by turning off the lights of the most important energy consuming parts of the hotel and by encouraging all clients and employees to participate and collaborate with this idea. |

Contributing to achieve a better society In an effort to extend their pledge towards social work, the Sheraton Salobre Golf Resort & Spa provided for a total of 2 weeks food to the CAIPSHO centre in the south of the island.This centre gives to those who need it, clothes, food and, in some cases, even accommodation totally free of charge. All these activities are done thanks to the donations and support CAIPSHO receives.

Peroni Calendar in Gran Canaria The island of the eternal summer was the chosen scenery for the production of the Peroni Calendar 2011. The Sheraton Salobre was one of the venues that hosted beautiful models, photographers and make up artists who fulfilled every single corner of the hotel with glamour and beautifulness. |

Christmas Party for Collaborators The Sheraton Salobre Golf Resort & Spa celebrated the past December its annual party for Tour operators, media and collaborators. A great celebration that had this year as a theme: ‘the best Santa Claus of 2010'. All the invitees where requested to dress in Santa Claus customs upon arrival, and, as a result, almost 70 people, dressed exactly the same, painted in red all the facilities of the hotel. |

The latest of Aurelia Gil The Gran Canarian fashion designer, Aurelia Gil, choose the Sheraton Salobre for the shooting of her latest collection, Wonderland 2011. The final result shows the grandiosity of her designs as well as the beautiful landscape and architecture of the hotel. |
